Job summary

BD in Connecticut is seeking a manufacturing/production operator to perform molding tasks, monitor quality and equipment, and uphold GMP standards. You will keep accurate documentation and assist with changeovers while maintaining product quality.

With a HS diploma or 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, you will join a team committed to continuous improvement and meeting production goals in a fast-paced environment at USA CT - Canaan.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. preferred; 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to operate molding equipment and monitor processes.
  • Commitment to GMP standards and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks in molding and operate equipment to established standards, maintaining quality and GMP.
  • Monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
  • Make authorized adjustments to equipment to maintain process quality and productivity.
  • Ensure product quality via in-process checks and proper quality documentation.
  • Seek assistance from setups and cell leads to meet production and quality goals.
  • Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
  • Assist line technicians with equipment repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain clean work area and follow GMP requirements.
  • Record data accurately for quality inspections and process tests.
  • Report issues to the Cell Lead and participate in CI activities.
  • Cooperate with team to ensure smooth shift transfers and communication.
  • Support schedule needs by working overtime when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Perform all tasks in molding and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
  • Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
  • Make authorized adjustments and modifications to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
  • Responsible for product quality; in-process checks, accurately complete all quality documentation, quality documentation review, requalification, rework
  • Seek assistance from set ups & cell leads to meet production and quality expectations when required.
  • Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
  • Assist line technicians with equipment repair, trouble shooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for reporting PPH, scrap/waste, SAP and MES transactions.
  • Identify and report any issues to the Cell Lead.
  • Proactively participate in problem solving methods through CI activities, (Blitz’s, Kaizens, KAS)
  • Operators must effectively cooperate with the others to ensure effective shift transfer and communication.
  • Support business needs by working overtime as necessary to satisfy schedule requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. preferred OR 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience is preferred.
