Job summary

Amcor is seeking a safety-minded supervisor for our Kentucky manufacturing team. You will oversee all team members, enforce safety and housekeeping standards, and report any infractions to your supervisor.

The role requires molding experience and prior leadership in a manufacturing setting, with a starting pay around $21 per hour and potential up to $24 depending on experience. You will train staff on safety topics, organize teams to address issues, and contribute to performance reviews while

  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Previous molding experience in manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of all team employees.
  • Ensure safety by checking work areas for hazards and addressing issues.
  • Report infractions to supervisor.
  • Perform duties safely and model safety practices.
  • Assist supervisor in investigations on safety incidents.
  • Document daily safety topics for meetings.
  • Train on safety topics as identified by management.
  • Support team goals and disseminate information.
  • Organize and lead teams to address safety, quality, or operational issues.
  • Provide input for performance appraisals and document retention.
  • Assist with promotion readiness and training recommendations.
  • Maintain open communication with team; arrange additional training.
  • Attend meetings and provide information in supervisor's absence.
  • Conduct meetings to discuss production, quality, safety, and policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the supervisor, oversees the activities of all team employees
  • Ensures the safety of all team employees by checking their work areas for safety/housekeeping hazards and addressing issues immediately.
  • Reports any infractions to their supervisor
  • Performs duties in a safe manner; acts as a role model for safety
  • Assists supervisor in conducting preliminary investigations on safety incidents
  • Reviews and documents daily safety topic discussion for meetings
  • Conducts required training on selected safety topics as identified and assigned by the safety manager or immediate supervisor
  • Supports team goals and objectives. Assists supervisor with dissemination information and updates to employees
  • Organizes and leads employee driven teams to address safety, quality, or other operational issues as assigned by the supervisor
  • Provides input for performance appraisals; addresses complaints and helps to resolve problems. Assists with the retention of appropriate documentation.
  • Provides input on employee readiness for promotion, participates in interviews and recommends training as needed.
  • Maintains open communication with all team employees. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed
  • Attends meetings and provides information to Supervisor in his/her absence
  • Conducts meetings with employees to provide information on production, quality, safety, and policy issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing setting
  • Previous Molding experience in manufacturing setting

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $21.00 per hour; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience between $21.00 per hourand $24.00 per hour.
