Job summary

Tarkett Middlefield is seeking an experienced and strategic team member to grow within Tarkett. In this role you will operate production equipment and perform multiple functions in the Molding & Finishing department for Tarkett Middlefield.

You will join a highly engaged team with long tenure in a flat organization that values collaboration. Compensation starts with a trainee wage and includes shift premiums, merit increases, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform 5S audits.
• Load/unload rubber press as required.
• Contribute in Molding/Finishing department per business needs.
• Inspect materials for defects and inconsistencies.
• Transport materials to next station using tow motor if required.
• Complete production tickets and downtime sheets.
• Support green initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards in all tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment and participate in 5S audits.
• Load and unload rubber press during shifts.
• Work within Molding/Finishing depending on production needs.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality.
• Move materials to next station using tow motor when needed.
• Maintain production records and downtime logs.
• Support environmental and efficiency initiatives.

In this position you will have the opportunity to operate various production equipment and perform multiple functions within the Molding & Finishing department for Tarkett Middlefield. Compensation $22.66 trainee wage rate, with increase to $24.67 after certified on first job (4-6 weeks), plus shift premium of $1.50 for Nights and $2.00 for Afternoons. There are 4 operator levels that allow for additional pay increases based on cross training and our top rate is currently $28.25 + shift premium. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to comply with existing safety standards
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete 5s audit
• Ability to load/unload rubber press
• Ability to perform work within Molding/Finishing department based on business needs
• Ability to inspect materials for defects, inconsistencies
• Ability to transport materials to next station in the manufacturing process (using tow motor if required)
• Ability to complete production tickets, downtime sheets
• Ability to maintain/continue green initiative
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent distractions

LOOOKING FOR EXCITED CANDIDATES WHO:

• Stand, walk for long hours during shift.
• Push objects up to 50lbs during a shift
• Adhere to strict safety and quality production standards
• Reach, bend, lift, and push objects weighing 3-50 lbs. on a continuous basis for the duration of the shift.
• Carry/transport material
• Support production with meeting weekly quotas
• Has great work ethics
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures

WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH US?

Safety is very critical to us so we provide all PPEs. It can get really noisy at time. We provide all employees hearing protection Temperature can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some departments at the plant This job requires standing in one location for an extended time
