Job summary

DuPont Spectrum in Minnesota seeks an experienced mold technician to diagnose mold problems, propose repairs, and perform repairs independently. You will fabricate parts, fixtures, and gauges as needed.

Responsibilities include disassembling/reassembling molds for change-overs, setting up machines for secondary operations, and performing emergency repairs while the mold is in the press. You will log work and maintain mold history records.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and technical instructions.
• Ability to read procedure manuals and operating docs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble molds for change-overs, repair and cleaning.
• Diagnose mold problems and propose repair solutions.
• Set up complex machines for secondary operations at the press.
• Fabricate spare mold parts, jigs, fixtures and gauges.
• Perform emergency repairs to the mold while it's in the press.
