Job summary

Rain Bird is seeking a Mold Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair injection molds and related equipment. You will collaborate with Toolmakers and the Tooling Engineer to perform mold maintenance, implement improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires reading mechanical drawings, diagnosing molds and hot runner systems, following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean 5S workplace.

Qualifications

• Technical training and/or relevant experience in machining, mold maintenance, or related manufacturing disciplines.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical, tooling, and engineering drawings.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Execute mold maintenance and repair plans; analyze issues and implement modifications to improve quality and efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot molds, hot runner systems, and tooling to maximize mold life and performance.
• Ensure work orders are completed on schedule; provide progress updates and follow-up actions.
