Job summary

Thunderbird Molding seeks a Mold Technician L1 to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on mold set-up, machine controls, crane and lift operations, and preparing molds for scheduled jobs.

You will adjust temperatures, tonnage, and core pulls, ensure mold protection, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain high-quality production. Ideal candidates bring practical mold setup and operation experience, familiarity with various molds and machines, and strong problem-solving and teamwork

Qualifications

• Practical experience in mold setup, operation, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with various types of molds and molding machines.
• Technical proficiency in mold setup and operation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail for quality control.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams and convey technical information.

Responsibilities

• Machine set-up and controls for molding processes.
• Crane and lift operations as required.
• Prepare molds for scheduled jobs and change inserts.
• Set temperatures, tonnage, and core pull sequences as needed.
• Ensure mold protection and verify nozzle and orifice sizes.
• Troubleshoot molding machines and assist with downtime.
• Prepare molds for storage and perform routine maintenance.
