Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Chaska, MN is seeking a Mold Technician to join our team. You will hang molds, perform barrel changes, and install all accompanying equipment for set-ups, with a clear path for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical or injection molding setup experience preferred.
• Basic math, computer literacy, and accurate data entry skills; SAP experience preferred.
• Competency using powered hand tools, fasteners, and measurement devices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail for safety and quality.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability in mechanical or process‑based environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up production runs in the press and maintain auxiliary equipment.
• Perform barrel changes and installation of auxiliary equipment in set-ups.
• Complete setup/shut down and barrel purge procedures and job packets.
• Monitor molded parts for visual and dimensional conformity; take corrective action when necessary.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, 6S, waste reduction).
• Assist in safety and quality initiatives and maintain clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned to support production goals.

Job Title: Mold Technician-$10,000 Sign on bonus

Job Description: The Role: Our site in Chaska is seeking a Mold Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hanging molds, performing barrel changes, and installation of all auxiliary equipment included in all set‑ups. In this role, you will also see a clear path for career advancement. Entegris promotes from within and as a Mold Entry Technician you will gain the skills necessary and have the opportunity to advance upward and qualify for other roles, such as setup technician, trainers, lead operators, supervisors, and many others. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, supporting reliable production flow, and contributing to operational excellence. This position will mainly work 2PM-10PM, Monday‑Friday.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up production runs in the press and how to maintain auxiliary equipment (single water units/thermolater, temp controller, robot, end of arm tooling)
• Press TPMs
• Mold removal to analyze for cleaning/repairs before storing
• Completes setup/shut down and barrel purge procedures and job packets
• Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality
• Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities
• Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals
• Monitor molded parts for visual and dimensional conformity; take corrective action or escape when necessary
• Including all other duties as required

What We Seek:

• Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship
• High school diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of mechanical or injection molding setup experience preferred
• Basic math, computer literacy, and accurate data entry skills; SAP experience preferred
• Competency using powered hand tools, fasteners, and measurement devices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail for safety and quality
• Competence in basic math and computer data entry
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability in mechanical or process‑based environments
• Experience participating in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, 6S, or waste‑reduction initiatives
• Ability to recognize and communicate quality defects and ensure parts meet required specifications
• Previous injection mold setup experience preferred
• Ability to kneel, crawl, crouch, and work in confined spaces during mold changes
• Can comfortably stand and walk for duration of the shift
• Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Commitment to safety, adherence to procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
