As a Mold Technician, You Will
- Full Disassembly and reassembly of molds
- Cleaning of mold components (hand and tank processes)
- Cleaning and changing of ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks
- In-Press mold preventative maintenance
- Perform mold component conversions in multi-cavity tooling
- Housekeeping and 5S activity
- Hydraulic Cylinder Maintenance and Repair
- Repair of molds for increased cavitation.
- Problem solving. Root cause analysis of issues
- Use of mold books, torque charts and SOP’s
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical ability, organizational skills and communication
- Use of hand and pneumatic tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work well within a team environment as well as self-directed
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
- Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus
- Blueprint knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Toolroom machines and equipment
- Basic Electrical troubleshooting (for hot runners and controllers)
