Job summary

Aptar Italia S.P.A. in Lincolnton, North Carolina, is looking for a Mold Technician to join their team. The role involves full disassembly and reassembly of molds, preventative maintenance, and cleaning of mold components using various processes. Candidates should have strong mechanical abilities, organizational skills, and a high school diploma or GED. Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
• Strong mechanical abilities and strong communication skills.
• Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full disassembly and reassembly of molds.
• Clean mold components using hand and tank processes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance in-press.
• Perform hydraulic cylinder maintenance and repair.
• Utilize mold books and torque charts effectively.

Job description

As a Mold Technician, You Will

• Full Disassembly and reassembly of molds
• Cleaning of mold components (hand and tank processes)
• Cleaning and changing of ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks
• In-Press mold preventative maintenance
• Perform mold component conversions in multi-cavity tooling
• Housekeeping and 5S activity
• Hydraulic Cylinder Maintenance and Repair
• Repair of molds for increased cavitation.
• Problem solving. Root cause analysis of issues
• Use of mold books, torque charts and SOP’s

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical ability, organizational skills and communication
• Use of hand and pneumatic tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as self-directed
• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
• Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus
• Blueprint knowledge
• Basic knowledge of Toolroom machines and equipment
• Basic Electrical troubleshooting (for hot runners and controllers)
