Join our team and Be You Be Aptar. Aptar is seeking a Mold Technician based in Lincolnton, NC. Looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude to learn skills as a mold technician. The right candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, organization skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. This person will work independently, as well as in a team environment, doing all aspects of injection mold preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/problem solving. No prior experience required. We’ll train the right person.

As a Mold Technician, You Will

• Full disassembly and reassembly of molds
• Cleaning of mold components (hand and tank processes)
• Cleaning and changing of ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks
• In‑Press mold preventative maintenance
• Perform mold component conversions in multi‑cavity tooling
• Housekeeping and 5S activity
• Hydraulic cylinder maintenance and repair
• Repair of molds for increased cavitation
• Problem solving. Root cause analysis of issues
• Use of mold books, torque charts and SOPs

Who We are Looking For

• Strong mechanical ability, organizational skills and communication
• Use of hand and pneumatic tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as self‑directed
• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
• Prior experience in a tooling or manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus
• Blueprint knowledge
• Basic knowledge of toolroom machines and equipment
• Basic electrical troubleshooting (for hot runners and controllers)
