Job summary

O-I is seeking a Mold Shop Supervisor at the Tracy Plant in Northern California. This role will supervise hourly personnel across all phases of machine and mold shop operation, including related design and specification activities.

You will review bottle quality and equipment data, analyze blueprints and histories, and implement safety-conscious, performance-driven improvements while mentoring apprentices and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Glass manufacturing knowledge and experience desired.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Prior mold shop operation experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP desired.

Responsibilities

• Review bottle quality and mold equipment operating data.
• Analyze blueprints, job histories, and specifications to make recommendations relative to equipment operating adjustments and equipment design changes.
• Conducts periodic inspections.
• Ensure correct use of safety equipment and that safety policies are followed.
• Oversee Mold Maker apprenticeship programs.

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between$115,000 - $125,000and includes a possible12%short-term incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
