Job summary

O-I in Muskogee, OK is seeking a Plant HR Generalist to support staffing, payroll, performance management, and employee development at our glass packaging facility.

This hands-on role drives HR processes, payroll administration, benefits management, and succession planning, partnering with the Plant HR Manager on disability processing and HR requisitions. Salary range is $70,000-$90,000 with a 12% short-term incentive. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required and professional HR experience.
• HR experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Payroll administration experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Ceridian DayForce and SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train and monitor payroll/HR responsibilities with managers.
• Maintain and reconcile all hourly payroll files and data for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Process weekly plant hourly payroll and prepare payroll reports.
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
• Partner with Plant HR Manager for disability processing, relocation coordination, HR requisition and PAF processes, maintaining employee files.

Job Description

The Plant HR Generalist will assist in the execution of staffing, payroll, performance management, employee development, training and succession planning. This hands‑on position is responsible for driving the implementation of HR processes and initiatives.

The Plant HR Generalist will:

• Train and monitor work accuracy of Payroll/HR responsibilities with managers
• Maintain and reconcile all hourly payroll files and data for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements
• Process weekly plant hourly payroll, including balancing general ledger interfaces and preparing regular and special payroll reports
• Assist in the administration of employee benefit and compensation programs and other HR company initiatives as required
• Partner with Plant HR Manager for disability processing, relocation coordination, HR requisition and PAF process, maintaining employee files and performance plan tracking and record keeping

The Plant HR Generalist should:

• Be a positive and pro‑active company and employee advocate

• Be able to assist in the execution of labor and employee relations activities that drive productivity and efficiency.
• Be able to assist with grievance administration
• Be able to prioritize

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required
• Previous professional experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in payroll administration in a fast‑paced environment preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of Ceridian DayForce and SAP are a plus

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000and includes a possible 12% short‑term incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
