Silgan Containers is seeking a skilled mold technician to lead the tooling department, maintain and install molds, and troubleshoot hot runner systems. You will set and remove molds from molding machines and manage inventory, while updating the EAM system.

Qualifications

• Experience with high cavitation hot runner molds.
• Ability to read mold design prints.
• Set and start molds in presses (Van Dorn, Husky, Cincinnati).
• Troubleshoot electrical problems with hot runner molds.
• Proficient use of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tooling department to maintain and install molds.
• Troubleshoot molds and replace components to ensure functionality.
• Address electrical issues in molds, mold controllers and hot runners.
• Set and remove injection molds from molding machines.
• Maintain inventory and update the EAM system.
