Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced SBM/EBM Mold Set-Up B to ensure production-ready tooling across multiple machine platforms. The role requires hands-on mold changes, teardowns, tool maintenance, and strict GMP adherence in a hot mold shop environment.

You will train new department employees, manage molds and components, and handle shipping/receiving and inventory control, while supporting maintenance PMs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as an SBM/EBM Mold Set-Up B.
• Capable of starting and completing mold changeovers on at least three machine platforms.
• Knowledge of extrusion head teardowns and re-assemblies.
• Able to sandblast extrusion molds and tooling components.
• Basic math skills to measure tooling components.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to read/write production materials.
• Capable of sliding heavy molds (>50 lbs) onto carts and surfaces.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to identify tooling by Engineering number.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold setup and changeovers across multiple machine platforms.
• Disassemble, inspect, and assemble tooling; prep for setup.
• Train new department employees in mold assembly and related techniques.
• Maintain inventory of molds and spare parts; ship molds to other plants.
• Perform mold PMs at scheduled intervals and ensure GMP compliance.
• Identify and address tooling issues via visual inspection.
