Position Summary:

Performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to operating, overseeing, and ensuring production of orders on schedule daily. Reviews production orders to ensure each machine is running according to schedule, safety, quality, material, and order specifications. Ensures orders are processed accurately and timely.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Review production orders scheduled for daily and weekly execution.
2. Ensure color feed does not run low; communicate with Quality Control when necessary.
3. Coordinate molding machine production according to schedule and specifications.
4. Fill in orders and monitor color running.
5. Record cycle times and note any changes.
6. Communicate shift changes, concerns, or problems to the next shift.
7. Conduct shift change walk-throughs to check for machine issues such as drywell or plastic buildup.
8. Ensure all production data is recorded properly.
9. Set and start up production jobs following current procedures and documenting troubleshooting steps.
10. Make necessary mold changes.
11. Evaluate and improve molding processes while maintaining safety and productivity.
12. Perform repairs on equipment such as core top changes, sensors, O-rings, mold tips, air valves, fuses, hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and water lines. Call for assistance if unable to repair.
13. Complete line clearances before and after changeovers.
14. Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
15. Complete shift end paperwork accurately and neatly, including reports on problems and troubleshooting.
16. Record machine changes to address issues, e.g., flash or trap caps.
17. Perform preventative maintenance on molding and related equipment.
18. Monitor production data collection on the Whiteboard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of repairs and maintenance of processing equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
• 3-5 years of experience with 200-500 ton machines.
• Availability to work any shift as needed.
• Experience in manufacturing process development and control.
• Good manufacturing practices knowledge.
• Technical background in lining machines or high-speed assembly preferred.
