Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC is hiring a Process Assistant / Mold Setter to support daily production in our Plastics Division. You will perform mold changes, set up machines and tooling, and assist with maintenance and safety tasks to keep production running smoothly and safely.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience around injection molding, die setting, and mold changes, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience working around injection molding machines, die setting, mold changes, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills and good written/verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work all shifts and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Review production paperwork to ensure correct mold and version are prepared.
• Set up auxiliary equipment for production runs.
• Verify end-of-arm tooling is installed and ready for production.
• Complete mold PM tasks and assist with maintenance as needed.
• Assist with hot stamp changes and related setup.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• Provide shift coverage as needed by supervision.
