Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking a Mold Setter/Machine Operator for 1st shift. You'll set molds, align components, and run injection and compression molding equipment to produce parts per blueprints.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years blow molding or similar manufacturing experience. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years blow molding or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine equipment setup.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Mansioni

• Reads specifications to determine machine setup and prescribed temperature/time settings.
• Positions, aligns, and secures mold components and machine accessories using hoist and tools.
• Attaches lines (air/oil/water) to mold and adjusts temperature controls.
• Sets controls to regulate forming pressure and curing time in mold.
• Starts machine to produce sample product.
• Inspects samples for defects using gauges and adjusts setup to fix issues.
• May repair and maintain machines and related equipment.
• May be designated as Compression-Molding-Machine Setter or Injection-Molding-Machine Setter
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.
