Job summary

Rainbow Restoration is hiring a Mold Remediation Technician to conduct mold remediation, containment setup, demolition, cleaning, and restoration for residential and commercial properties within the assigned territory. The role suits individuals who are hands-on, customer-focused, and eager to grow within the restoration industry.

Qualifications

  • Previous mold remediation/restoration experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Willingness to travel statewide as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mold inspections, remediation, and containment per IICRC standards.
  • Set up containment areas and engineering controls.
  • Operate restoration equipment and perform cleaning and demolition as required.
  • Maintain thorough job documentation including photos and moisture readings.
  • Respond to water/mold losses and coordinate with customers.

Many of our technicians go on to lead teams, supervise projects, and grow into leadership roles throughout the company.The ideal candidate is self-driven, enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated to make a quality difference within our territories while helping customers through difficult and stressful property situations.Competitive PerksCompetitive Pay401(k) with Company Match50% of Medical Insurance Costs Covered by EmployerCompany-Paid IICRC Certifications & Continuing Education (including renewals)Career Growth & Advancement OpportunitiesHands-On Training & Leadership DevelopmentOpportunity for Overtime & Emergency Response IncentivesSupportive Team-Oriented EnvironmentPosition SummaryA Mold Remediation Technician is a key component of our restoration team, responsible for performing mold remediation, containment setup, demolition, cleaning, and restoration services for residential and commercial customers throughout the assigned territory.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in helping customers, and can effectively manage time while maintaining safety and quality standards throughout remediation projects.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform mold inspections, assessments, and remediation services on residential and commercial propertiesDevelop and implement mold remediation plans according to IICRC standards and company proceduresSet up containment areas and establish proper engineering controls for remediation projectsRemove, clean, and dispose of mold-contaminated materials safely and efficientlyUtilize industry-standard equipment and remediation techniques for mold removal and structural cleaningPerform HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatments, air scrubbing, and detailed cleaning proceduresOperate restoration and remediation equipment including HEPA filtration devices, negative air machines, dehumidifiers, and moisture detection toolsWork with power tools and perform demolition as needed throughout remediation projectsRespond to water, mold, and other restoration-related losses according to company procedures and IICRC standardsEstablish and maintain schedules to ensure services are completed efficiently and on timeCommunicate professionally with customers regarding scope of work, expectations, timelines, and necessary documentationMaintain accurate job documentation including notes, sketches, photos, moisture readings, and equipment countsEnsure all job sites remain clean, safe, organized, and compliant with OSHA standards and PPE requirementsMaintain company vehicles, tools, and remediation equipment to ensure operational readinessParticipate in emergency on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands requireTravel throughout state with potential overnight stays when needed to support operationsCross-train in related restoration services including water mitigation, contents cleaning, carpet cleaning, and reconstruction supportPerform additional operational duties and emergency response tasks as assignedRequirements & SkillsPrevious mold remediation and/or restoration experience preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently while also thriving in a team environmentPositive attitude with strong work ethic and willingness to roll up your sleevesEmpathy, professionalism, and strong customer service skillsEagerness to learn and grow within the Restoration IndustryStrong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable working in fast-paced and emergency response environmentsValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a drug test and extensive background screeningAbility to lift and/or move up to 100 poundsComfortable standing, walking, climbing, bending, working at elevated heights, and working in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics while wearing PPEComfortable working around demolition debris, moisture-damaged materials, and varying environmental conditionsAbility to work overtime, participate in on-call rotations, and travel statewide as neededIICRC Certifications such as WRT or AMRT are a plus but not requiredWhy Join Rainbow Restoration?At Rainbow Restoration, we believe in investing in our employees and creating long-term career opportunities.
