Position Overview

As a Composite Mold Reconditioning Technician, you will play a vital role in restoring and maintaining high-quality composite molds to ensure they exceed customer expectations. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship in producing innovative composite parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually sand and refinish composite molds according to work instructions.
• Apply adhesives to repair and restore surface finishes.
• Follow established procedures to maintain the integrity of high-value customer molds.
• Identify and report major defects that could impact the final product finish.
• Provide recommendations to management on best manufacturing practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (auto body prep experience preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, visual acuity, and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency with hand tools, sanders, drills, adhesives, and measuring devices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production schedules.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance.
• Commitment to safety, following policies, and reporting hazards.

Hours Of Operation

Normal business hours: 1st Shift 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 2nd Shift 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Indoor and outdoor tasks involving walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and operating material handling equipment.
• Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, requiring personal protective equipment.
• Some roles require hand-eye coordination and specific vision abilities.
