Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks an experienced tooling and molding engineer to improve production systems and reduce tooling costs. You will coordinate changes for plastic injection molds and work with global experts to update standards and procedures.

You will manage budgeting for tooling, participate in PFMEAs, support plant launches, and drive cost and quality improvements while meeting TE requirements and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
• 5–10 years in a similar role with accountability for tooling and molding processes.
• Experience leading multiple projects and teams.
• Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, AutoCAD, CATIA.
• Experience with Moldflow/ANSYS for plastic filling.
• RJG MM1 certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SAP and ISO14001/AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools and mold processes to support new products.
• Coordinate tooling manufacturing concepts for anticipated production quantities and locations.
• Collaborate with global CoE molding to update operating standards.
• Provide budgets for tooling and mold processes.
• Lead changes to injection molds and communicate revisions to designers.
• Train workshop staff on failure analysis and procedures.
• Support plant launches with documentation and process tracking.
• Develop PFMEAs and control plans with the team.
• Assist with 2D/3D drawings and ensure TE requirements are met.
• Implement actions to reduce environmental impact per ISO14001.
