Job summary

BD in Sumter, SC is seeking a press operator to produce molded parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will set up and operate hydraulic or electric presses, ensure quality, and maintain records during daily production runs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and English literacy, and good communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours, including weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates presses following SOPs.
• Troubleshoots basic press issues and equipment faults.
• Loads/unloads materials manually or with hoist.
• Performs basic maintenance like seals and wipers.
• Cleans work area and equipment.
• Inspects products and makes minor adjustments.
• Records production data and downtime.
• Monitors temperatures of tanks and extruders.
• Adds colorants and additives as required.
• Packs finished products and handles packaging.
