Job summary

Chart Industries in Stafford, TX is seeking a machine operator to mold billets, valve liners, and encapsulated discs. You will blend materials, load molds, and maintain records in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years in machine operation. Join a company supporting growth and a range of industrial applications.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to read proficiently and write legibly.
  • Must have demonstrated good job performance and attitude.
  • 0-2 years experience in machine operator capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Mold various size billets, PTFE valve liners and encapsulated discs with all molding methods.
  • Blend materials in accordance with engineering standards and procedures.
  • Utilize tools and equipment to produce molded parts per standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of molds and materials throughout operation.
  • Load molds with proper materials and operate equipment to fabricate preformed parts.
  • Keep accurate production records and job history.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

What Will You Do?
  • Mold various size billets, PTFE valve liners and encapsulated discs with all molding methods
  • Blend materials in accordance with engineering standards and procedures
  • Responsible for the proper utilization of tools and equipment necessary to produce molded products in accordance with engineering standards
  • Assure maximum cleanliness of both molds and materials is maintained at all times during the course of operation
  • Load molds with proper materials and operate equipment with established procedures in order to fabricate preformed parts
  • Maintains accurate production records and job history
  • Keeps a clean and orderly work area
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Continuous standing and lifting of 5 to 35 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and climbing
  • Must be able to operate a sit down forklift and stand up (cherry picker)
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures, cold and hot
  • Must be able to read tape measurements
  • Must be able to follow routine procedures
  • Must be able to use complex equipment requiring continuous attention
  • Must be able to make minor decisions
Your Experience Should Be...
  • May require a high school diploma/GED or previous years of experience in the field/related work area in lieu of education
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to read proficiently and write legibly
  • Must have demonstrated good job performance and good attitude
  • Must be a team player
  • 0-2 years experience in machine operator capacity
