Job summary

ArtiFlex Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Night Shift Mold Maker to join our Grand Rapids facility. You will build, repair, and refurbish die cast and plastic injection molds in a low-volume, high-mix environment, reading blueprints and CAD files while ensuring dimensional accuracy and high quality.

The role requires a Journeyman Mold Maker or 5 years of equivalent experience, proficiency with 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, and experience operating manual machines.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Mold Maker or 5 years of equivalent experience building new die cast or plastic injection mold/dies required.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with operating manual machines.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair all types, sizes, and shapes of die cast and plastic injection mold dies from blueprints or CAD files.
• Assemble and fit complex mold components (e.g., cooling channels, ejector systems).
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair existing molds and tooling.
• Interface regularly with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

We are growing and need aNight Shift Mold Makerto support our business. This person will be responsible for building, analyzing, repairing, modifying, and refurbishing die casting and plastic injection molds in our low-volume, high-mix environment. This position utilizes a variety of machines and precision equipment to support new build, troubleshoot tooling issues, and ensure molds meet dimensional, quality, and performance requirements.

What you will do:

• Build and repair all types, sizes, and shapes of die cast and plastic injection mold dies from blueprints or CAD files.

Shift Hours:

Typical shift is 4PM - 2:30 AM / M-F. Schedules can change due to our customers’ needs and other variables.
