Job summary

Jabil NyproMold is seeking a Tool Maker Apprentice to learn the skills required to build, repair, and maintain precision plastic injection molds under skilled toolmakers. The role supports production activities and safety practices while gaining hands-on experience in an operations environment.

You will learn standard production processes, safety practices, and quality requirements, contributing to operational efficiency and growth within the tooling group.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a vocational/technical program in machining, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, and repair of molds.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate manual mills and surface grinders.
• Measure and inspect components using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators).
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing tooling.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Participate in training programs and skill development activities.
