Qualifications

MOLD MAKER/CNC OPERATOR – 3rd SHIFT

This hourly position utilizes available manual and CNC machinery to build, maintain, and modify die cast dies, trim dies, and machine components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Works with engineers to optimize cutter-paths to build components in the most accurate and efficient manner possible.
  2. Checks documentation to verify accuracy and currency of prints/programs according to GRL, TRL, etc.
  3. Performs the work of a craftsman in hi-spot bluing, fitting, timing and assembling the die cast, and other tooling.
  4. Writes simple programs and uses CAM software to write programs that are more complicated.
  5. Performs the following operations as training permits: rough mill, square, grind, hi-speed mill, drill, turn, EDM, polish, fit, blue and assemble die cast dies.
  6. Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance.
  7. Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
  8. Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Two-year technical degree or four-year apprenticeship program.

Certifications/Licenses: Not required.

Experience: Minimum four years on-the-job training in a related field such as tool and die, mold making, or CNC operation on Fanuc or Heidenhain controls may be substituted for educational requirement.
