Position Summary

The CNC Machinist & Fabricator is responsible for meeting daily production standards, coordinating production schedules, material planning, programming, and operating the CNC router table and secondary operations to finish products. This individual will assist with general maintenance and cleaning of equipment, on-the-job training of personnel, troubleshooting quality and mechanical problems, and supporting production work including fabrication and crating.

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Study work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and plans to plan machining, interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  2. Identify parts to print for correct identification.
  3. Create toolpaths for CNC machines using MASTERCAM software.
  4. Optimize toolpaths for efficiency and quality.
  5. Load and unload parts from CNC machines.
  6. Verify settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces, adhering to standards.
  7. Route and finish parts to print.
  8. Maintain specifications during drilling, grooving, cutting, and other operations; troubleshoot and adjust as needed.
  9. Check parts for defects.
  10. Follow assembly work instructions.
  11. Clean work area and equipment.
  12. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  13. Set up mills and lathes with appropriate tools and adjustments.
  14. Assist team with lifting and moving parts.
  15. Perform general fabrication and production tasks.
  16. Adhere to safety procedures.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Basic computer skills.

The hourly range is $24.00 - $28.00, with potential for growth, profit-sharing, bonuses, and benefits including health, paid time off, 401(k), and employee stock ownership.
