Job summary

Pace Industries, LLC is hiring a Mold Maker for 1st shift in Maple Lake, MN to set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses to fabricate molds and tooling from drawings and written instructions. You will measure with micrometers and calipers, verify tolerances and ensure parts meet drawings and ISO 9001 standards.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of precision measuring instruments and layouts/drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate milling, turning, boring, drilling, polishing, grinding and threading to build tooling.
  • Fabricate components and parts to very close tolerances from drawings or sketches.
  • Operate CNC EDM (wire and ram) and CNC Mills.
  • Read and verify work with micrometers, calipers and indicators.
  • Maintain safe work habits and keep a clean, orderly workspace.
  • Assist with production readiness and quality checks as required.

May fabricate metal parts for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment working from drawings and written instructions. ***Position Requirements***Minimum of High School Education or GED equivalent and a two year degree in machine tool technology. Must have thorough knowledge of the use of precision measuring instruments. Layout and drawings.
