Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Salary: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Construct new molds, prototypes, models, fixtures, and related tooling from engineering and part drawings.
• Maintain, repair, modify, and improve existing molds and fixtures.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate tooling.
• Track and document hours worked on individual jobs using daily time sheets.
• Document in detail utilizing a CMMS system.
• Identify opportunities to improve tooling efficiency, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Share technical knowledge and ideas to strengthen the Toolroom team.
• Assist with the training and development of tooling technicians.
• Maintain Toolroom equipment in excellent working condition.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, mission, and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman’s papers or a minimum of 8 years of experience in Mold making, machining, toolmaking, or a closely related skilled trade.
• Strong knowledge of manual /CNC machinery and machining practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and part drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and precision workmanship.
• Proficient with CAD/CAM software, Mastercam, SolidWorks or similar software
• Use of all required measuring equipment
• Understanding of metals and plastic materials utilized in mold building

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
