Job summary

IntePros is seeking an experienced Mold Maker to support a medical device/manufacturing client in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on tooling design, fabrication, maintenance, and optimization, including setting up and operating CNC/manual milling equipment and supporting the construction, assembly, and repair of molds and dies.

You will read engineering drawings, inspect components with precision tools, and collaborate with fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering teams to drive tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/tooling experience.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills.
• Strong knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production molds and tooling.
• Set up and operate CNC/manual milling and machining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical documentation.
• Inspect components using micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Collaborate with fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering teams on tooling improvements.
• Perform quality control and maintain required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, ISO, SOP, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production molds and tooling
• Set up and operate CNC/manual milling and machining equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and mechanical documentation
• Inspect components using micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
• Collaborate with fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering teams on tooling improvements
• Perform quality control and maintain required documentation
• Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, ISO, SOP, safety, and quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/tooling experience
• Advanced SolidWorks skills
• Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication including milling, turning, grinding, and related processes
• Strong MS Office and communication skills
• Medical device/pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
• AutoCAD, FEA, CFD, PDM Pro, and Lean/Six Sigma exposure are pluses
