Job summary

Aptar is seeking a Mold Technician based in Lincolnton, NC. Join a team in a clean, climate-controlled environment with potential quarterly bonuses. You will disassemble/reassemble molds, clean components, perform preventative maintenance, and support tooling projects.

The role requires strong mechanical ability, blueprint knowledge, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is required. Prior tooling/manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full disassembly and reassembly of molds.
• Cleaning mold components (hand and tank processes).
• Cleaning and changing ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks.
• In-press mold preventative maintenance.
• Perform mold component conversions in multi-cavity tooling.
• Housekeeping and 5S activity.
• Hydraulic cylinder maintenance and repair.
• Repair of molds for increased cavitation.
• Problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Use of mold books, torque charts and SOPs.

Aptar is seeking a Mold Technician based in Lincolnton, NC

Make up to $34/hr. in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Quarterly bonus eligibility.

As a Mold Technician, You Will

• Full Disassembly and reassembly of molds
• Cleaning of mold components (hand and tank processes)
• Cleaning and changing of ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks
• In-Press mold preventative maintenance
• Perform mold component conversions in multi-cavity tooling
• Housekeeping and 5S activity
• Hydraulic Cylinder Maintenance and Repair
• Repair of molds for increased cavitation.
• Problem solving. Root cause analysis of issues
• Use of mold books, torque charts and SOP’s

Who We are Looking For

• Strong mechanical ability, organizational skills and communication
• Use of hand and pneumatic tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work well within a team environment as well as self-directed
• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
• Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus
• Blueprint knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Toolroom machines and equipment
• Basic Electrical troubleshooting (for hot runners and controllers)
