Job summary

Prysmian Group, a world leader in energy and digital connections, is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician in Texas to maintain injection molds for production. You will inspect, repair, and reassemble molds, keeping precise records and collaborating with process techs and engineers. Relocation assistance is available.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading blueprints, and proficiency with plastics molding, plus a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical mold/tooling training preferred.
• 5+ years in mold maintenance/repair in plastics molding.
• Strong knowledge of mold construction, cooling, ejector systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Familiar with machining and polishing tools (mills, lathes, grinders).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and maintain injection molds per schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair mold components such as cavities and ejectors.
• Disassemble and reassemble molds with precision.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and part replacements.
• Collaborate with process technicians and engineers on tooling issues.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
