Job summary

EFP is hiring a Mold Maintenance Technician for our EPS foam molding operation in Elkhart, IN. You will maintain and repair aluminum and steel molds, ensuring reliability of mold tooling in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting venting and misalignment, repairing vents and steam chambers, and coordinating with production/quality to sustain efficient mold operation. EPS processing expertise preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical maintenance training preferred.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic mold systems.
• Ability to read mold drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mold issues including venting, misalignment, sticking parts, flash, and fill consistency.
• Inspect, clean, and repair mold vents, steam chambers, and fill guns.
• Maintain mold alignment; ensure frames and platens are lubricated.
• Disassemble and reassemble mold components and replace worn parts.
