Job summary

Thogus Products Company is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on precision molds to support the injection molding process. The role offers 2nd or 3rd shift with a 40-hour schedule and potential overtime, along with a Sign-On Bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include mold disassembly/reassembly, inspection for damage, blueprint reading, and maintaining an organized tool room.

Qualifications

Valid combination of education and experience in mold maintenance.
Experience reading blueprints and tool designs.
Experience in preventive maintenance on molds, dies, or similar.
Injection molding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on molds by disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling.
Inspect molds for damage and perform minor repairs.
Read tooling blueprints and engineering prints, and work orders.
Organize tool room and request supplies as needed.
Update tool room schedule with minimal direction from management.
Take direction from Lead Tooling Tech and Tool Room Manager.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other duties to support organizational success.

The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible performing preventive maintenance on all precision molds to support the injection molding process, and is is expected to perform job responsibilities in accordance with the company’s core values.

Essential Job Functions

Performs preventive maintenance on all molds by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and storing molds according to the ERP System.
Performs inspection for damage to molds and performs minor repairs.
Analyze manufacturing feasibility and specifications using knowledge of tool design, shop math, and assembly procedures to re-build tools and dies.
Ability to read tooling blueprints and/or engineering parts/welded prints, and work orders.
Works with little direction while performing maintenance on tools or fixtures for production.
Organize tool room and request shop supplies as needed.
Updates tool room schedule as needed with minimal direction from manager.
Takes direction from Lead Tooling Tech and/or the Tool Room Manager as to daily activities.
Regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the success of the organization

2 year technical degree and/or

Injection molding experience preferred, alternate industry experience will be considered
Experience in preventive maintenance on molds, dies, or similar

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form detailed technical notes on troubleshooting activity and progress on repairs and PM work orders
