Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions seeks a Mold Design Engineer to design, detail, and validate production and pilot molds, using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce precise 2D/3D drawings and BOMs.

You will work with sales, manufacturing, and customers, support mold trials, maintain engineering records, and drive continuous improvement from concept to production.

Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of mold design experience required; travel < 10% is possible. The position emphasizes quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5+ years of mold design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and interpret geometric data.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs for molds, components, and modifications.
• Develop and maintain mold specifications, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Support and plan mold trials, including setting molding parameters and evaluating results.
• Assess mold and container design feasibility, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
• Translate customer drawings, models, and samples into production-ready designs.
• Conduct bottle inspections and testing to verify compliance with dimensional and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering drawings, technical data, and revision histories.
• Collaborate with sales, customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve design and production challenges.
