Job summary

Datwyler seeks a Mold Denicker to polish and repair molds by hand, ensuring cavities, vents and gates are finished to specification. You will prepare molds for production release, diagnose mold issues, and adhere to safety guidelines in a manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, read/write English, and be comfortable working with hand tools and a pedestal grinder. ITAR compliance may apply; US citizens or eligible residents preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12th grade education or equivalent.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Experience with hand polishing and mold maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Polish cavities, vents and gates on molds by hand.
• Repair molds by hand, de-nick cavities and remove tool marks.
• Prepare new molds for release to production.

General Duties

The mold denicker removes nicks, performs repairs, and polishes molds by hand

Specific Duties

• The mold denicker performs these activities:
• Polishes cavities, vents and gates on molds by hand
• Performs repairs by hand on molds, such as de-nicking cavities, sanding lands, repairing mold cases, removing tool marks, etc.
• Details new molds and prepares them for release to production
• Operates pedestal grinder to sharpen polishing stones
• Analyzes mold problem(s)
• Follows safety rules

Education Required

• Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent
• Must read, write and speak English.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit up to 10 hours
• Ability to work with hands under work light

Other Requirements

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
