Job summary

STS is seeking an experienced Production Operator for the 3rd shift at our Salem, Virginia startup to support mold changes and downstream operations. The role involves handling molds, operating overhead crane and mold transfer cart, and maintaining equipment in a clean, safe work area.

Forklift experience is a plus. A strong attendance record and ability to follow safety procedures are required as you support a new manufacturing startup for heavy trucks components.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better required.
• 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures in a plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes safely and efficiently
• Operate overhead crane and mold transfer cart
• Clean and maintain molds, including wiping tools and cleaning bolsters
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Perform general operator duties as needed during downtime
