Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Florida is seeking a Mohs Medical Assistant to support exams, assist physicians during Mohs procedures, and manage EMR documentation. You will engage with patients, maintain sterile technique, and help prep rooms and supplies in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires 2–3 years of medical-office experience, certification as a Medical Assistant, and dermatology/Mohs knowledge, with strong communication and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified Medical Assistant is required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office.
• Prior Dermatology and surgical experience is required.
• Prior Mohs experience is required.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient in preparing for the exam.
• Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
• Assist physician during procedure/surgery.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens.
• Educate patients and respond to questions in the office/on the phone as needed.
• Document all medical instructions given to patients.
• Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
• Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management.
