Apex Skin, a physician-led dermatology group, seeks a Histotechnician to support the Mohs surgery team at Canton A. You will prepare tissue specimens, perform fresh and frozen sectioning, stain slides, and maintain lab safety per OSHA/CLIA. Certification and Mohs experience are valued.

The role is full-time, hourly, working Monday–Friday in a Canton A office setting with a focus on accuracy and teamwork. FDA/CLIA-compliant practices apply to daily duties.

Qualifikationen

• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification required.
• Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Histology or related field required.
• Current and valid CPR certification required.
• Experience with processing frozen sections and highly skilled grossing preferred.
• At least one year of surgical or Mohs experience preferred.
• American Society for Mohs Histotechnology membership preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare histology tissue slides and perform tissue accessioning.
• Cut and stain tissue sections for routine and special stains.
• Prepare frozen tissue sections for Mohs surgery.
• Maintain lab equipment and safety standards per OSHA/CLIA.
• Record temperatures and perform quality control tasks.
• Keep OSHA/CLIA records up to date.
