Job summary

ADCS Clinics LLC is seeking a Histotech in Jacksonville, FL. You’ll join a team of professionals performing embedding, staining and coverslipping on tissue slides.

We welcome candidates with ASCP HT certification or registry eligibility, a high school diploma, and at least one year of histology experience in embedding, cutting, staining and special stains. Excellent reliability and teamwork are essential in this busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Current ASCP certification (HT) or registry eligible.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of one year experience in embedding, cutting, staining, special stains and troubleshooting.
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
• Accessioning all specimens with the team.
• Performing special stains and following protocols.
• Preparing slides with requisitions and double checking accuracy.
• Ensuring quality control and reliability in daily work.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current ASCP certification (HT) or registry eligible
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A Minimum of one year experience in the following:
• Embedding
• Cutting
• Staining
• Special Stains
• Troubleshooting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting
• Repetitive hand, wrist, and shoulder motion
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally

ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Quality control.
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.
• Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history.
