Job summary

ADCS Clinics LLC is seeking a qualified histology technician to join our team in the United States. The role involves processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping specimens, along with accessioning and performing special stains per established protocols.

The candidate should have an ASCP HT certification or registry eligibility and at least one year of relevant experience. A commitment to quality, reliability, and teamwork is essential.

• Minimum of one year experience in embedding, cutting, staining, special stains, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
• Accessioning all specimens with the team.
• Performing special stains and following protocols.
• Preparing slides with requisitions and verifying accuracy.
• Quality control and adherence to department procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current ASCP certification (HT) or registry eligible
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A Minimum of one year experience in the following:
• Embedding
• Cutting
• Staining
• Special Stains
• Troubleshooting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting
• Repetitive hand, wrist, and shoulder motion
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally
• Detail oriented

ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping.
• Accessioning all specimens along with other team members.
• Performing special stains, following protocols.
• Putting slides together with requisitions - double checking for accuracy.
• Cutting control slides.
• Quality control.
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.
• Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history.
• Must be a team player.
• Other duties as assigned.
