Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support Mohs histology through quality control, documentation, and equipment operation, including the cryostat. You will maintain records, prepare specimens, and assist with tissue processing following Washington state health standards.

The role involves QA participation, data entry, and collaboration with Mohs surgeons, managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and patient care.

Qualifications

Minimum education and hands-on histology training in a clinical setting.
ASCP HT/HTL certification within 1 year of hire.
Washington MA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire.
Experience with tissue processing and frozen sectioning.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
Perform QC, preventive maintenance, and operation of cryostat and related equipment.
Prepare solutions, stains, tissue specimens, and frozen sectioning.
Document, report, and coordinate with Mohs surgeon and manager as needed.
