Foster Farms is seeking a production worker in Livingston, CA. The role involves standing for long periods, operating automated equipment to move live chickens, and ensuring smooth flow on the conveyor line. The job includes logging trailer stamps and addressing jammed cages.

Pay starts at $22.00 per hour with additional $1.00/hour for evening hours and $2.00/hour for overnight hours. Must pass background check and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand 8–10 hours daily on concrete/metal grate floor.
• Must be able to move/open cages by lifting up to 200 lbs to move jammed cages.
• Must submit to and pass criminal background.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to decide number of cages to dump to maintain an even conveyor flow.
• Must observe stuck cages and troubleshoot as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knobs/levers on automated equipment to dump cages of live chickens.
• Control the flow of live chickens onto the conveyor line.
• Log the time a new trailer is stamped.
• Free cages that get stuck and notify the line supervisor/dept. supervisor of any problems.

Essential Functions

Pay Rate $22.00 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

• Utilizing Knobs/levers on automated equipment (i.e., forward feeding, tilting and sliding), dump cages full of live chickens onto the conveyor belts.
• Control the flow of live chickens' beings dumped onto the "kill line".
• Log the time a new trailer is stamped.
• Free any cages that get stuck and notify the line supervisor/dept. supervisor of any problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have basic aptitude to observe stuck cages and trouble shoot which ones require pushing and pulling up to 200lbs to move jammed cages.
• Ability to make decisions on the number of cage s to dump in order to maintain an even flow of live chickens on the conveyor belt.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hours daily on concrete/metal grate floor.
• Must be able to submit to and pass criminal background.
