Job summary

Ameritex, a Texas-based manufacturer, is seeking a Building Crew Assembler to join a team that assembles, erects, and finishes modular metal buildings both in-house and in the field. You will read blueprints, install wall and roof panels, perform light welding, and operate basic fabrication tools.

You should be comfortable with ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs, have 1–3 years in metal building assembly, and be able to work overtime to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Ability to read tape measures and understand dimensions.
• Ability to use common hand tools and basic welding equipment.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and reliability to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and erect modular metal buildings and related structures.
• Install wall and roof panels, insulation, doors, windows, and hardware.
• Perform light welding and fitting work as required (training provided).
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and standard fabrication tools safely.
• Follow blueprints and work instructions with precision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate progress and quality to leads and managers.
• Assist with rigging and loading for shipment or field installation.
