Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a detail-oriented painter to prepare and finish interior surfaces in modular home units, in a factory setting. You will apply paints, stains, and coatings, ensuring consistent color and smooth finishes in line with production schedules.

Ideal candidates have experience with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and can work safely, maintaining tools and following PPE procedures.

Qualifications

Experience in residential or production painting preferred.
Ability to use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming drywall, trim, and other materials.
Apply paint, stain, or coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, and trim using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Ensure consistent coverage, color accuracy, and smooth finishes.
Touch up and correct imperfections after initial coats.
Protect floors, fixtures, and installed components from paint damage.
Follow production schedules to meet daily or weekly output goals.
Maintain tools, equipment, and paint supplies in good condition.
Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper ventilation and PPE use.
Collaborate with drywall finishers, carpenters, and other team members.
