Job summary

Morton Industries is seeking a Bluco Operator to fabricate and assemble metal components using Bluco fixturing tables. You will interpret blueprints, determine assembly sequence, position and secure parts, and perform tack and finish welds using MIG and TIG processes, ensuring conformance to specifications and safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting up fixtures, inspecting dimensions, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specs.
• Set up Bluco fixturing tables for assembly.
• Tack and finish welds using GMAW/MIG or GTAW/TIG.
• Inspect dimensions and weld quality throughout fabrication.
• Operate grinders and hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules and work orders to determine requirements.
• Position and clamp components per blueprint specifications.
• Ensure safety, quality, and proper documentation.
• Route assemblies to downstream operations or shipping areas.
