Job summary

The Talent Mine in Austin, TX is seeking a Designer/Detailer (Electrical/Controls) for a full-time, in-office role. You will produce detailed electrical and controls drawings and BOMs for modular data-center projects, turning engineering data into shop-ready packages that guide fabrication and assembly.

Ideal candidates live in the Austin area or nearby, have strong experience in electrical CAD, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts, and can maintain templates and libraries to keep revisions clean

Qualifications

• Detailed electrical or controls packages for fabrication or modular assemblies.
• Experience with panel shops, UL 508A builders, or industrial automation integrators.
• Expertise in electrical CAD, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Ability to update templates and standards to reduce field calls.
• Knowledge of bend radii, terminations, and clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce the detailed electrical and controls models and drawings the factory builds from: panels, raceway, cable schedules, and terminations fully detailed.
• Detail to installation level: conduit and cable tray runs, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOM-linked parts accurate for shop orders.
• Turn engineering changes into updated, released packages with revisions tracked.
• Own the model's cleanliness: maintain standards, symbol libraries, and templates.
• Close out drawing issues at the source by fixing the template or standard that caused questions.
