Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is hiring a Drywall Tape and Finisher for our Berwick, PA facility. The role focuses on finishing drywall in modular units, inspecting for imperfections, and preparing surfaces for final finishing.

You’ll work with industry-leading tools and maintain safety standards on the production floor. The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in drywall finishing, with the ability to read blueprints and measure accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with production finishing preferred.
• Understand construction measurements and basic math.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret materials from prints.
• Ability to estimate quantity of materials.
• Ability to measure and cut drywall to fit spaces.

Responsibilities

• Finish drywall to specified levels of finishing.
• Use drywall finishing tools and equipment.
• Measure/cut drywall panels to fit around doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Install drywall panels to wood or metal studs.
• Inspect surfaces for imperfections and prepare for finishing.
• Apply joint compound and tape, then sand smooth.
• Maintain tools and keep work area clean.
• Work independently and safely on site.
