Modular Building Service Technician

Job summary

WillScot is seeking a Service Technician to inspect, repair, and readiness-work our modular building fleet across multiple locations. The role emphasizes quality workmanship and a strong safety mindset to protect teammates and customers.

You will perform framing, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and related tasks, and participate in inspections, repairs, and modifications to keep units ready for delivery and invoicing accuracy. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment is a must.
• Some knowledge of computers is necessary and good communications skills are required for dealing with customers, sales people, contractors, shop personnel as well as Williams Scotsman employees at various branch locations.
• Must have carpentry knowledge and experience.
• Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is a plus.
• A current valid driver's license and a clean record are required.

Responsibilities

• Safety/Environment: Act in accordance with Williams Scotsman Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies.
• Lead and promote employee health and safety results through safer workplace practices and training.
• Attend periodic safety meetings and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Operate a company vehicle safely with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Fleet & Efficient Use of Resources: Perform repairs to mobile office trailers including framing and carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear and related tasks.
• Perform check-in/out inspections of off rented buildings to determine repair scope and damages for invoicing.
• Create floor plan drawings as needed and perform customer-requested modifications.
• Maintain inventory levels of equipment/tools/parts needed for service tasks.
• Provide courteous customer service over the phone and in person; explain repairs and services.
• Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled deliveries at quality levels.
• Perform service related tasks in the yard as requested.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance per guidelines.
• May be assigned duties at field locations as business needs.
