Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Portland OR. This role handles in-house modifications to electric motors and requires safe operation with PPE.

Primary duties include modifying motors per specs, delivering to shipping, and processing orders plus SAP quality sheets daily. 2–4 years' experience preferred with strong mechanical assembly and SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred.
• Strong mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written procedures.
• SAP and other business software experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
• Deliver finished product to designated shipping area.
• Process completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on-time delivery goals.
• Perform tasks in a safe environment with required PPE.
• Complete daily equipment operation checklists and cleaning assignments.

• Knowledge to properly identify materials & components for modifications
• Ability to assist fellow technicians on modifications

Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of related experience
