Job summary

CS Beef Packers LLC in Kuna, Idaho is seeking a Pre-Sorter to join our harvest department. This role requires careful inspection and sorting of heads, viscera, and carcasses, with emphasis on knife skills, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will handle head area, organs, heart and lungs, final carcass checks, and stamping and tagging following USDA procedures. Training covers bovine anatomy, disease recognition, incision techniques, and product handling,

• Liver, Kidneys, and Spleen Area: Inspect organs for defects, perform incisions, and sort products.
• Heart, Lungs, and Viscera Area: Assess organs for issues, conduct required incisions, and sort accordingly.
• Final Carcass Area: Examine carcasses for abnormalities and tag suspect ones for veterinary evaluation.
• Product Sorting, Stamping, and Tagging: Separate products, apply stamps, communicate with teammates, and follow USDA procedures.

Position Summary:

The Pre-Sorter is a critical position that works in the harvest department.
