New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts in New Rochelle, NY is seeking an experienced Modern Dance Instructor with professional training in Horton and Graham technique to teach teen and adult students. This part-time role requires evening availability and a commitment to growth and artistry.

You will plan progressive lessons, teach technique-based modern classes, choreograph pieces for recitals, and provide individual feedback while helping maintain a positive studio culture.

Compensation: Starting at $35/hour, based on experience (part-time)

New Beginnings Center for the Performing Arts is a community-focused performing arts academy in New Rochelle, NY (Westchester County), serving students ages 3 through adult. We are seeking an experienced Modern Dance Instructor with professional training in Horton and Graham technique to teach our teen and adult students.

What you’ll do:

• Teach technique-based modern classes rooted in Horton and Graham, from beginner to advanced levels
• Plan progressive lessons that build strength, alignment, musicality, and artistry
• Choreograph pieces for recitals, showcases, and performances
• Give students individual feedback and track their progress
• Help build a positive, disciplined, and welcoming studio culture

What we’re looking for:

• Professional training in Horton and Graham technique, with the ability to teach beginner through advanced levels
• Teaching experience with teens and/or adults
• Reliable, professional, and committed to student growth

Schedule: Part-time. Must be available Thursday evenings, 7:30–9:30 PM.

Pay: Starting at $35/hour, based on experience.
